This week I had a few conversations with folks about some of the pesky ways subtasks can mess with your workflow; not grouping in My Tasks, not triggering rules, etc. The good news is the Asana team just announced yesterday that this is an active work in progress!

Phase one of the updated subtask experience is already deployed– Subtasks can now inherit custom fields from their parent projects! However, they thoughtfully addressed that the key pain points I mentioned above are not yet fixed, but on their way.

I’m personally looking forward to the day that I don’t wince at the word “subtasks.”

There’s been a lot of interest in a regular webinar that isn’t specific just to AI Studio, so we’re pivoting our Office Hours focus starting in June! You can (and should!) absolutely still bring any questions and issues with AI Studio to these sessions, but we will also be taking questions about general Asana troubleshooting as well.
